Quick little update

Thanks for your support - I'm trying not to panic. I'm trying to remember that there's NOTHING we can do to make more eggs and follicles, and I am going to continue to trust the doctors. Like all of you have told me, they are among the best in their field for a reason, and I'm going to let them do their job.

My E2 today is at 3084, LH at 1.7, and P4 at .3 something. They have asked me to reduce Gonal F to 37.5 iu for tonight and NOT do Menopur tomorrow morning. Huh - I've never even heard of a 37.5 iu Gonal F dose before! But then again - they are experts in this field for a reason. They are obviously on top of everything and are monitoring me so closely. So yes, tiny little injection today - 37.5 iu is just one click of the pen (those of you that have used the pen will know what I'm talking about!) :-)

I get the feeling I'll get to trigger tomorrow - what do you guys think? And yes, I'm going to make DH come in for the u/s with me tomorrow. I want him to see the follicles and count them for me!

sending you more calming and reassuring vibes. Good that DH is going in for the u/s with you so he can count some follicles. :)

I know how stressful it can be. But try to calm down.. your E2 numbers look too high for just 11 follies... so either they are all mature or there are more follies. You know all of this anyways. Its good that DH is going to come with you tomm. Wishing you all the best and sending calming thoughts your way.

Hi Nikki,

It's difficult to stay calm when things seem out of your control. And it's normal to be anxious about how you are progressing with your treatment.
I have a few suggestions that may help you, but please just try them if you think they may be useful to you.
1.Distraction - such as seeing an interesting movie or reading a good book?
2.Deep breathing - Close your eyes and take ten, deep slow breaths.
3. Meditation - Stare at a candle, or focus on your breathing. Just accept any thoughts or feelings that arise and then try to refocus on the candle/breathing.
3.Self-talk - Tell yourself that everything is progressing just as it should.

I hope that this helps. I'll be thinking of you.

Nikki, I'm cycling at CCRM right now as well. Just wanted to share that I know what you're going through b/c I'm going through it too. Today I was told that I'm not doing any Gonal F at all (never had that happen before) and just one amp of Menopur tomorrow morning, so totally the opposite of you. My E2 is at 3308 today and my biggest follie is 16mm. I think yours are bigger than mine. I'm sure you have more than 11. Last cycle they were watching 10 for me and I ended up with 20 and 15 mature. They look at the biggest and smallest and some of the ones in between. I spent my whole cycle last time panicking about my numbers and I'm really trying not to this time (quite unsuccessfully). You're nearly there and I think it all looks great for you. Good Luck!!!!!

Good. I like how you've come to the fact there is nothing you can do at this point adn all you can do is ride this out. No wondering "what if" or anything. This is your cycle, plain and simple. And ~hopefully~, you'll get plenty of totcicles to freeze and implant with your next cycle.

So did you trigger? Thinking about ya! They are known for creating solidly good eggs and maturing them after retrieval too. Good luck. Hope you post your update soon.

Yikes I'm getting so excited for you!!! Can't wait for the final ER results!

I've done the 37.5iu Follistim Dosage but not for IVF, just IUI. I'm sure it just means that you are close. ~wink~

I've done a 37.5 GF before too. You are close. My e2 was high too... and I had 10 mature and 4 others so a total of 14. Our clinic only counts the "big ones too". Hopefully J&J will be closer. I'm praying for you hun.

I wish you all the best Nikki! Here's hoping that you have more than 11 folies and they are all good quality. Thanks for you advice on doing the shots.
